rain 35 °F

We left at 6 am on Monday and drove 615 miles to Justin and Gwen's house in Garner, NC. It was a beautiful day for driving and quite warm, in the 70s. After dinner we took a stroll around their neighborhood to enjoy the Christmas lights.
The next morning they left early for school and Don and I slept in a bit. We left about 7:45 am and headed towards Pennsylvania. Our objective was to have dinner at Shady Maple Smorgasbord in East Earl, PA. It was about 415 miles and the morning was mostly nice. After lunch we had rain for most of the rest of the trip. We stayed in Lancaster and it turned out to be seafood night at Shady Maple! Yum!!
Wednesday turned out to be the worst day, weatherwise, with cold rain all day. The temps started out in the 50s, dropped to the 40s and settled at 35 with rain and snow showers when we got to NY. Everyone told us how lovely the weather was up here, but it seems we brought the winter with us!
Ryan and Khristina invited us to stay with them, so here we are! We actually won't be staying here the entire time, because i have family coming and Ryan invited them to stay. They have gone to stay at the Hotel Utica for the next few days.
